Job Description: The Project Management and Planning Specialists are responsible for managing multiple, parallel projects varying in size, complexity and funding level throughout the SHA. These projects can vary between site specific projects to to complex, multi-year provincial programs that significantly impact change on SHA facilities across the province. They ensure that the SHA's capital construction, infrastructure renewal, and internal renovation projects are well planned, completed on time, within budget and with minimum disruption for all owned and leased facilities within the Province. They adhere to the corporate project management framework, industry standards, and project management best practices. The Project Management and Planning Specialists will have access to confidential information which is used on a regular basis for purposes of planning and coordinating of budget, program information, projections, schedule, user group involvement and communication strategy. The Project Management and Planning Specialists must be able to resolve problems in a tactful manner between the major parties involved. There is a regular demand for complex decisions and actions, particularly to budgets or situations, many of which are made with limited information and unpredictable outcomes. They require an understanding of ongoing operations and maintenance of SHA facilities, clinical departments and support areas; and a high degree of problem solving to positively move projects forward.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 Driver's license
Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural or Facilities Engineering Technology, PMP or e
