Description

Consider this challenging opportunity as an 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Specialist functioning as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher with the Saskatchewan Health Authority Medical Communications and Coordination Centre. This position is available for dedicated individuals to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment. The successful candidate(s) will be offered an entry casual position  with the communications centre and can bid on positions as they become available.
What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment. You will:
     Process 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency requests for ground ambulance and co-responders such as Medical First Responders, Police, Rescue, and Air medical.
     Direct ground ambulance movements
     Provide pre-arrival instructions
     Communicate with individuals under stress
     Operate complex computer-aided dispatch systems, radio consoles and 9-1-1 telecom equipment
