Gee Bee Construction is an earthmoving construction company located in Kipling, Saskatchewan. We have jobs sites located throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba. Our expertise is found in a diverse range of projects, including jobs involving trenching, grading, gravelling, earthmoving, demolition. Gee Bees work consists of lagoon construction, new subdivisions, site preparation, road construction, pipeline maintenance, water and sewer installation and site reclamation.
We have an opening for a project estimator, estimating various civil construction projects, water and sewer installation, lagoon construction, road building, subdivisions, site preparation and other diverse projects.
Determine the specific components of the bidding process by reviewing project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work, scheduling, and project planning.
Prepare an estimate of all activities required to complete a fully quantified and costed estimate or delegated scope including costing of labour, equipment, material, and subtrade pricing.
Prepare preliminary construction schedules based on productivity and subcontractor input to determine project duration and resulting costs.
Analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Identify project risk and cost mitigation as well as project opportunities and cost savings that could provide a more competitive bid.
Review drawings and specifications to determine labour, material, and equipment requirements and cost
Complete estimating take-offs on projects
Compiling project complete estimates
Ability to comprehend tender documents, specifications and drawing with an understanding of contractual requirements.
Proficiency in MS office packages with strengths in Excel.
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
