Must be a journeyman welder.
Duties include but not limited to:
Repairing and replacing all of the elbows, duct work, aspiration lines, bucket head covers, railcar dumps and lids, chain guards, chutes, pipes, handrails, gates, deadboxes, motor mounts, nose trough sections on turner screws, flaps and arms on turners, return plates on drags, burner pipes on kilns, control gates and slides, flopgates, hoppers, screw flighting, and damaged floor sections on kiln floors.
Repair vacuum lines, kiln rails and loading screws.
Fabricating handrails and gates, steps, chain guards, dead boxes, flop gates in B-5 and other useful things for the plant, on site or in shop.
Must be willing to work 10 hours shifts and be available for periodic non-scheduled call-ins.
Must be able to work partially outdoors, indoors, and in dusty or humid environments.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and work in elevated areas of the plant.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Good time management skills, must be able to prioritize tasks.
Must be able to proficiently use computers including entering and retrieving data.
Demonstrated high performance safety and attendance record.
Required to wear hearing and respiratory personal protection devices such as ear plugs, dust masks, and respirators.
Salary is as per the collective agreement
