The Safety Association of Saskatchewan Manufacturers (SASM) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the prevention of injuries in the manufacturing sector. We have offices in both Saskatoon and Regina. SASM is recruiting for a Safety Training Coordinator to fill a full-time 2-year term position.
Responsibilities:
Deliver webinar and classroom instructor-led safety training courses
Assist companies to understand and apply the principles of safety management
Lead the review and development of existing or new courses
Provide safety related information to members and other customers
Manage the course maintenance schedule of courses and training materials through effective project management
Manage the process to evaluate the competency of other trainers
Certified Instructor Qualifications:
Require one of the following designations:
Professional occupational health and safety designation CHSC or CRSP, or
Degree, diploma or certificate in occupation health and safety from a recognized post-secondary institution, or
A combination of knowledge, experience and training.
5 or more year of direct industry experience is preferred
Good working knowledge of Saskatchewan OH&S legislation
Competent using online and virtual training platforms and presentation software
Experience in adult education is preferred
Motivated with the ability to work independently while also being an integral part of a team
Able to travel overnight, if necessary
