Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Health Services Department is now inviting applications for a permanent full-time Dental Therapist position for the community of La Ronge. Under the direction of the Dental Supervisor, the Dental Therapist will perform dental services and dental health education to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Bands Dental Therapy Program.
Duties:
Work cooperatively with Health Clinics and schools;
Provide complete oral health services to school age children;
Provide emergency oral health services to adults;
Deliver a Dental Care Program to enhance awareness and improve the oral health status of all LLRIB Members;
Qualification:
Diploma in Dental Therapy, and registered to practice in the Province of Saskatchewan;
Experience in planning, scheduling and implementing work programs;
Self-motivated and able to work independently;
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, public relations and problem solving skills;
Demonstrated ability to prepare written reports;
Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License and the ability to travel;
Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
