Denson is looking for Restaurant Equipment Repair Technician to join its Regina location. The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication skills, basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, and basic diagnostic skills. Also required is the ability to perform equipment service and maintenance and to follow controls/wiring diagrams and schematics. Teamwork is a priority and technicians must be willing to work with and assist co-workers as needed, in addition to working overtime, night, and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen appliances.
* Communicate with customers and office staff for repairs and estimates.
* Maintain paperwork accurately and promptly, maintain inventory of service vehicle to ensure high first time fix ratio.
Work Conditions
Fast-paced environment; Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling. Overtime and weekends may be required to perform duties. Travel may be required for Training, Installs, Repairs or Meetings. Tech must purchase his/her own hand and power tools required to perform the required job duties.
Requirements
* Appliance Service Journeyman, licensed commercial gas fitter, or refrigeration certification preferred.
* Trade certification in a related field (electrical/mechanical/technical) is an asset.
* Previous experience servicing food equipment an asset.
* Electrical/ mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new technology.
* Valid Class 5 Driver's License with good driving record (abstract) required.
* Excellent customer service & communication skills, accountable and self-driven.
* Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call required.
* Able to travel for training or for work when needed.
* Punctual and cordial.
