Description

The Site Attendant is primarily responsible for providing on-site support to courses delivered through a variety of credit-granters and modalities.  This support is described in the duties listed below, and may also include providing some basic support to staff, as a secondary function.

The number of hours assigned to this position are subject to Post-Secondary Education programming.  Applicants will be required to work evenings and some weekends - depending on programming schedules.  This position is an ongoing appointment during the Post-Secondary Education program year.  The successful applicant will not be scheduled unless required, and according to program schedules.

Required Qualifications:
- Grade XII Diploma
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with College staff, credit-granter personnel, other agencies, students, and the general public
- Ability to operate the instructional and support equipment
- Basic word processing skills
- Minimum of six months recent experience working with the public in a customer service capacity
- Additional capabilities will include: strong verbal communications skills, with the demonstrated ability to acquire, retain, and transmit detailed information regarding programs and services to customers; successful experience in working directly with the public; and, demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team setting.
