Description

The Resort Village of Candle Lake, Saskatchewan is seeking the services of an experienced Manager of Planning and Development (MPD) to oversee and lead the planning and development services function of their organization.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the ideal candidate would have previous urban land use planning or public administration related experience, preferably at the municipal level, combined with post secondary education from an accredited institution in a field related to regional and urban planning or public administration along with a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License. A combination of other education and experience may also be considered.
The incumbent is expected to have strong analytical, problem solving and customer service skills in addition to having the ability to audit all permit applications for accuracy, compliance with legislation, policies, procedures and restrictions, and ensuring all applications comply with development plans, zoning by-laws and the Municipal and the Planning Acts.
