As a key member of the Process team, you will be responsible for analyzing daily water samples, performing preventative maintenance on lab instrumentation, and following quality control and quality assurance procedures. You will work closely with Process Operators, Supervisors, and Metallurgists to support of process operation, process troubleshooting and field studies. The Metallurgical Technologist is also responsible for driving continuous improvement in the lab as well as streamlining data entry and analysis. This is a 6-month term position.
Requirements of the position:
- Technical diploma in metallurgy, chemistry or process
- Solid team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to give and receive honest feedback
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Minimum 1 3 years of relevant work experience
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
- Experience working in a heavy industrial environment
- Experience with basic software packages
