Integrated Justice Services supports the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General and the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety. Integrated Justice Services is seeking a highly motivated individual who has a strong background in Saskatchewan OHS legislation and practical (field) experience with successfully implementing, executing and maintaining a safety program.
To be successful in this position, you will have an in-depth knowledge of current trends, issues, programs, legislation, policies and standards regarding occupational health and safety and wellness. You will have a strong working knowledge of claims management as well as training and experience gathering health and hazard data and in conducting research on the effects of workplace exposures (including mental health exposures).
You may have gained the knowledge and skills required for this position through the completion of Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP); Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC); a diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS/COHS); or a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO). Field experience of at least three (3) years or more in occupational health and safety as a primary job responsibility is a requirement; however, a related degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
