The Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) was founded in 1975, on the recommendation of a federal commission on farm machinery advocating the creation of a central agency for testing and evaluating farm machinery in Canada. Since then PAMI has evolved to serve three industries: agriculture, mining and transportation.
This is a key role within the Project Management Team and one which is integral to the short- and long-term success of the organization and its 2020-25 strategic plan. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Leader II will provide a lead role in managing and implementing projects for clients.
Key Competencies:
1. General understanding of technical project work, with experience in applying these to the agriculture, mining, or transportation sectors.
2. Strong business and people management skills with over 5 years of experience
3. Provide expertise and leadership during projects by scheduling internal resources, preparing and managing budgets.
4. As a functional manager, have a standard understanding of processes to resolve issues, motivate others and establish relevant KPI's.
5. Strong communication (written, oral, presentation)
6. Developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients.
Education:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Commerce, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or other related discipline
- Project Management Professional designation is considered an asset
