Description

The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan (AFCS) in partnership with Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society (SHFS) is looking for an energetic and coordinated team member to help keep our team organized and proficient. If you are highly organized with experience and/or training in administrative duties, we would love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend meetings, take minutes & notes
Schedule & coordinate logistics of appointments, meetings & travel plans
Assist in preparing correspondence, documents, presentations, reports, invoices, publications & other materials
Assist with some financial documents such as cheque requisitions, budget updates & data entry
Attend phone calls, respond to emails, take messages & record all communications
Open, sort & distribute incoming correspondence
Enter data into membership database through multiple software programs
Conduct research, compile data & prepare papers for consideration & presentation by executives, committees & Board of Directors
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems & performing basic bookkeeping work
Determine, establish & implement office procedures
Set up & maintain manuals for office procedures including onboarding staff, computer software & hardware systems & filing systems
Greet visitors, ascertain business & direct visitors to the appropriate person
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma is a minimum requirement
Office education program or equivalent experience
Experience using software packages, such as Microsoft Office & online applications
Basic bookkeeping & office knowledge
Experience with website administration is an asset
Strong written & verbal communication
Organization & time management skills
Problem-solving & analytical skills
Attention to detail
A Criminal Record Check (CPIC) will be required for the successful candidate
