Description

Maintenance / Fabricator personnel with Prairie Pulse are responsible to maintain all existing equipment and any equipment upgrade projects. Standard work hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Though every effort is made to avoid it, occasionally, maintenance work may be required after regular hours or on weekends. Overtime remuneration is 1.5 times the regular wage plus $2.00 per hour meal premium.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regular maintenance (greasing, oil changes, spouting repairs, replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, etc),
Equipment upgrade projects,
Welding,
Electrical Troubleshooting,
Mechanical Troubleshooting,
Maintain a clean facility, tidy and free of safety and all hazards, and
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 or equivalent,
Fabricating,
Industrial equipment experience an asset,
Understanding of Industrial Electronics an asset,
Strong problem solving skills,
Good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships,
Able to work both independently and as part of a team,
Comprehensive knowledge of the English language, both written and oral,
Valid drivers license,
Able to work at heights with safety restraints,
Positive work ethic,
Strong computer aptitude an asset,
Fireman Level Power Engineering Certificate an asset,
Forklift operation experience an asset,
Farm experience an asset,
Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting when required.
