Description

The caretaker is responsible for providing a safe, clean and healthy environment for students, staff and the public and overseeing day to day building operations, working as part of both the school-specific and Division-wide Facilities teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and ability to safely monitor and reset a boiler and associated+ HVAC system.
Ability to safely operate floor cleaning, stripping and waxing equipment and outdoor equipment such as snow blowers and lawnmowers.
Ability to perform basic building maintenance and repair functions.
Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy.

Education & Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
WHMIS training is an asset.
Firemans Certificate is an asset.
A minimum of three (3) years caretaking experience.

Working Conditions:
As per Conditions of Employment (non-union)
Monday to Friday; 2:00 p.m. to 9:30p.m.,12 months per year
Position will increase to full-time (8 hours per day) as of July 1, 2023
Commencing as soon as possible
Salary Range: $20.55 - $24.03
Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting heavy objects, moving furniture
