Description

Children First Child Care Centre requires a Full-Time Early Years Family Resource Centre Coordinator

The candidate will have responsibility for the following:
A.    Administration  Oversee the day to day operation of the center (including staff supervision and scheduling, liaison with funder and Board of Directors, collection and reporting of statistics, participation in provincial meetings).
B.    Programming  Develop, organize and deliver programming for children and families (independently and in partnership with other community resources).
C.    Leadership  Ensure local programming aligns with provincial strategic direction.  

Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have a combination of the following experience and training:
*  Experience and training in the planning and delivery of programs and services to adults and children, both one-on-one and in groups.  This experience is typically gained through experience and education in the human services fields, including applicants who have experience in delivering parenting education.
*  Four year Human Services or Education Degree.
*  Knowledge of quality early learning environments and invitations for play.
*  Experience managing a team of staff.
*  Experience working in a collaborative environment with partners.
*  Ability to work flexible hours, including regular business hours, early evenings and weekends.
*  Experience using technology to facilitate reporting and parent and community engagement.
*  Knowledge of child development.
*  Demonstrates strong cultural competence and awareness and respect for family diversity.  
*  Valid first aid / CPR.
*  Valid driver's license.
*  Valid criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
