Description

Stanley Mission is a thriving Woodland Cree community on the shores of the Churchill River. The community has two grocery stores, gas bars, post office, restaurant, churches and medical clinic. Views of the river and historic Holy Trinity Anglican Church add to the beauty and history of the community. The scenic environment surrounding Stanley Mission offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities and has an indoor hockey arena, baseball diamond and Youth Community Centre with pool tables and a bowling alley. Stanley Mission is one hour north-east of La Ronge accessible by a well maintained provincial road.
Rhoda Hardlotte Memorial Keethanow High School provides educational programming for students in grades 7-12 in a modern, well-equipped facility with an enrolment of approximately 300 students, supported by 17 teachers, 12 paraprofessionals and other staff.  Both schools in the community have close access to a land-based education site.
We are looking for a talented and creative educator to provide leadership and support to strengthen existing PAA programming, enhance project-based learning, and promote student and community engagement. We are seeking an applicant with trades certification or experience to support both survey and pure PAA courses.
This continuing, full-time position starts August 29, 2022. The successful candidate must be eligible for a Saskatchewan teaching certification. Salary is according to the provincial salary grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized housing and a northern living allowance. Rent is approx. $450 - $500/month including utilities, excluding phone/internet & satellite TV. Moving assistance may be available.
