You will report to the Chief Engineer, Maintenance and be responsible for providing mechanical design, drafting, and supervision support for maintenance, operation, and project work managed by the maintenance engineering department. You will ensure work is done in accordance with Camecos processes, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will also perform equipment inspections and prepare reports on mining and mill process equipment. You will be responsible for administering the site document and drawing management system, checking and approval of mechanical designs and developing maintenance work procedures.
Requirements of the position:
- Diploma in mechanical engineering technology
- Six to twelve years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- A.Sc.T, C.E.T, or international equivalent certification
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
- Experience with mining systems and heavy equipment
- Experience in piping, equipment design, layout, building services and HVAC as well as materials handling and equipment procurement
- Experience in inspection of tanks, piping, pressure vessel system and other mining related equipment
- Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD and 3D modelling
- Familiarity with Vault or similar drawing management systems
- Reliability & Asset management experience
- Experience working in maintenance and projects environments
- Experience with ERP system such as SAP
- Registration as a P. Tech
