Description

Are you looking for that perfect entry-level communications position? We are looking for a full-time Communications Assistant, who can help us promote the importance of cultural activities and experiences in Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with interest, and ideally some experience, in entry-level communications, such as experience working on newsletters, websites and/or social media.  The candidate should have customer service skills, be super-efficient in word-processing and various software programs, and be open to the change as teams adapt to work in a post-pandemic environment.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be acquired through post-secondary education in office education and/or business administration with some general experience in office administration or communications.  The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the English language, both written and verbal, along with experience in computer and database applications, event coordination, and data management. As part of the Communications team, applicants must be able to listen to and convey information and opinions of a diverse team , maintain confidentiality, understand and maintain organizational reputation, and demonstrate superior communication and client service skills. Experience working in a non-profit organization, with knowledge of the Saskatchewan arts and culture community, is considered an asset.

This is as a hybrid flex/in office position with a set schedule for which days are in-office and which days are remote within SaskCultures core hours.  The specifics will be tailored to meet the needs of the employee, team and SaskCulture.

SaskCulture thanks all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates being interviewed will be contacted.  More information about this position can be found at https://www.saskculture.ca/jobs-opportunities.
