Description

The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) serves four schools in the three Northern Saskatchewan Denesuline First Nations communities of Black Lake, Fond du Lac and Hatchet Lake and has its Central Office located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
The ADEA is seeking a Manager of Human Resources to be based at its Central Office.  Reporting to the Director of Education the position will:
    Enhance the organizations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
    Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
    Support staff by establishing a recruiting and interviewing program.
    Complete employee contracts of employment for all positions.
    Conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
    Manage employee benefit programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends
    Directing the processing of benefit claims and programs.
    Respond to employee inquiries regarding the benefit program.
    Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
Qualifications include:
    An education degree along with teaching experience.
    A post-secondary degree in human resource administration or another relevant area is an asset.
    A strong commitment to First Nations education.
    Knowledge of Denesuline language and culture would be a benefit.
    Background in Benefit Plan Administration.
    Ability to work collaboratively.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    The ability to take initiative.
    Must be a team player.
