Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Guest Services Attendants are responsible for delivery of effective and efficient operations of Guest Services at the Gallagher Centre. Using the core values of respect, leadership, communication, teamwork, customer service and accountability, the Guest Services Attendant shall:
- Provide and maintain a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Assist with the development of, follow and maintain, administrative protocols and processes related to facility bookings and rentals, program registrations and withdrawals, payments, and cash handling.
- Keep up to date on events in the city and all facilities to ensure effective communication with and service to the inquiring public.
- Open and prepare Guest Services for daily operations. Close and secure nightly.
- Provide basic business services for Gallagher Centre users including but not limited to photocopying, scanning and faxing, stationary supplies, at additional cost when required.
- Process admissions, program registrations and withdrawals, and pass sales for recreational programming.
- Follow and maintain cash handling and other financial policies, processes, and procedures.
- Form and maintain effective working relationships with public, coworkers, other City staff, and various community leaders.
- Receive booking and rental requests for all City facilities (excluding sport fields) and ensure proper information is entered into the booking software system.
- Provide information and services related to ticket sales when required.

Qualifications:
- One year related cash handling experience in a customer service environment.
- Preferred candidate will possess: WHMIS, First Aid/CPR/AED, Leadership for safety Excellence, Service Best Customer Service, Dealing with Difficult People certificates.
- Knowledge of accepted procedures for handling cash, balancing transactions, and completing revenue collection reports.
