Are you an experienced and well versed Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriter looking for the next step in your career? Do you work in a senior capacity and want to join a growing organization? SGI CANADA is currently searching for a Corporate Underwriting Specialist (Commercial Property & Casualty). The successful candidate will provide strategy support through research, analysis and recommendations to deliver improvement initiatives (i.e., quality control frameworks, automation) that have a clear, positive and direct impact on portfolio and segment performance in alignment with the Commercial/Personal Underwriting strategy.  You will provide referral expertise through technical guidance and an understanding of market conditions and emerging trends.

Requirements
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity.  We are looking for candidates who have a four-year Bachelors degree in Business or relevant field of study.  Candidates should have at least 6 years of senior level underwriting experience in Commercial Property & Casualty. Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation (or actively pursuing) would be considered an asset. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
