Description

Position Overview:  
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be part of SAMAs North Battleford Region as a Senior Market/Commercial Appraiser in this full-time, permanent position. The incumbent is responsible for providing assessments in a full market value system by conducting valuations of all properties with a focus on the three valuation approaches (income, cost and sales comparison).

Responsibilities:
Perform market analysis for base dates using the three approaches to value.
Provide training and support to the region's staff on the procedures to perform market analysis.
Develop valuation models in any of the three approaches to value.
Perform and audit sales verification on various types of property and provide sales verification training.
Review and compile market analysis files to ensure regional Quality Assurance compliance.
Develop analysis procedures including procedures to be used in the CAMA System (Govern) and statistical software as well as perform data entry of properties.
Provide leadership with Support of Value.
Provide support on the three approaches to regional staff.

Required Professional Designations/Certification:
Possess one of a CAE or AACI designation.
Eligible to be licensed as an Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (LAAS) by the Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers Association (SAAA).
Minimum five (5) years experience in residential and commercial property assessment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the three approaches to value
Working knowledge of MS Office software
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated report writing skills
Strong communications, public relations and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of NCSS, SPSS and database programs
