Description

Good Neighbours Food Centre (GNFC) is a non-profit organization that provides food security programming (including the Food Bank) to communities within a 50km radius of Rosthern.  Accountable to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for warehouse management, volunteer coordination, and specific programming initiatives.

GNFC is seeking a positive and engaged individual with exceptional organizational skills to join our team.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Commitment to food security in the community
Promote a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere toward all
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Director and volunteers
Ability to work independently on specific projects
Ability to manage a variety of projects concurrently
Knowledge of the community and surrounding area

DUTIES:
Align all work/projects with the priorities set out in the Strategic Plan
Oversee warehouse including purchasing food, coordinating food donations and rescues, creating hamper lists, coordinating volunteers
Build community capacity through coordination of the gardening program, programming that fulfills GNFC priorities and funding (e.g. After the Bell), community lunches, educational cooking classes
Increase food procurement through collaboration with grocery stores, food rescue, wild meat, pet food
Oversee Summer Student(s) assisting with gardens and warehouse
Contribute to the GNFC website and social media
Support the Executive Director with initiatives as needed for GNFC
Provide a monthly report to the Board of Directors
Collect data (e.g., weight of food donated)
Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:
Valid drivers license, vehicle, ability to lift reasonable weight
