Description

Under the direction of the Chief of Police, reporting to the Inspector in charge of support services, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated intelligence analyst assigned to an enhanced investigative team with a mandate to assist in the identification, analysis, investigation and disruption of criminal activity.  

This is a full time permanent position. Junior and Senior Intelligence Analyst positions are being considered.

General Duties:
Under the guidance of your supervisor, you will contribute to actionable intelligence products on emerging key issues such as gang violence, illegal firearms and drug trafficking at the local and inter-provincial level through the collection, evaluation, collation, analysis, reporting and dissemination of information to/from a variety of sources.

Education, Training and Experience:

-Combination of education, training and experience related to economics, sociology, statistics and/or criminology will be considered.  A related degree is preferred but not required.
-Experience conducting research, analyzing, and writing reports.
-Experience in applying analytical techniques or qualitative/quantitative methodology within a research project.
-Experience in producing and presenting material in reports, presentations or project findings.
-Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with internal or external partners/ stakeholders.
-Senior intelligence analysts will be expected to have recent and a minimum of two-years experience in intelligence analysis as it relates to tactical or strategic criminal operations.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
