ABOUT US
Doepker Industries is a leading Canadian manufacturer of highway semi-trailers. We manufacture a wide variety of trailers across many product lines. We are continually developing new and innovative designs for our customers across Canada and have won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since 1948.
We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Design Engineer to join our team at our Moose Jaw location.
WHAT YOULL DO
Reporting to the Product Design Lead, the purpose of the Design Engineer is to provide engineering support for custom and new trailers from concept development through to the design phase and implementation of product improvement.
Key accountabilities include:
    Prepare design packages and blueprints according to Doepker procedures and engineering standards
    Support R&D and manufacturing process
    Assisting in Bill of Material creation in the ERP system
    Share your ideas to contribute to process improvements
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
    Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Technology
    3-7 years engineering experience with a minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment
    Experience with 3D modeling software (Solid Works or Inventor is preferred) and Microsoft Office is required
    Eligible for registration with APEGS or SASTT
    Work experience in the transportation industry would be a definite asset
    Ability to collaborate with a team
    Strong communication skills
