Description

Fast Genetics is currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a permanent full-time
Human Resources Generalist role. The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily
functions of the Human Resource department with a large focus on local and foreign
recruitment and selection, benefits, pension, and providing advice and guidance on company
policies and practices. The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources Manager
and is ideally based in Saskatoon.

This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions but is
not limited to:
Lead local and foreign recruitment, orientation, onboarding, and focus on retention,
Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee
relations,
Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee
relations,
Develop and update job descriptions and job requisitions,
In consultation with the HR Manager, work to develop and implement recruitment
and retention strategies,
Develop, coach, and ensure adherence to company policies and practices,
Respond to inquiries and requests pertaining to Human Resource programs such as
benefits, compensation, payroll, talent development, etc.,
Administer benefits and pension program,
Conduct employee training and development,
Coordinate corporate events such as town halls or team building activities,
Remain current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new
technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law,
Performs other duties or special projects of a similar nature as assigned
