The City of Moose Jaw is seeking to fill our temporary term Utilities Clerk position for the duration of 12-18 months. Under the direction of the Deputy City Treasurer the Utilities Clerk is responsible for a variety of tasks to support the processing requirements of the utilities billing division.
This position will perform the following duties:
Timely and accurate completion of all final billings for terminated accounts;
Update computer system for work orders, shop orders, changed meters, water accounts, water meter deposits, non-payments and billing adjustments;
Provide the Utilities Accountant any accounts that require review;
Responsible for the turn-off for non-payment process;
Attend to customer inquiries.
Qualified applicants will possess:
2 year Diploma in Business specializing in Accountancy or a related field;
Previous experience working in collections;
2 years experience in customer service, cash handling and office administration;
Proficient in data entry and word processing;
Able to deal courteously, effectively and tactfully with the public.
