Description

RIWC Regina Immigrant Women Centre is a non-profit organization that provides programming and services for the education, integration, enrichment and empowerment of Newcomer, Refugee and Immigrant Women and their families.
We are hiring a full-time Bookkeeper who will provide payroll and bookkeeping support to the Finance team at RIWC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
Posting journal entries.
Assist Bookkeeping functions for individual projects and the portfolio (Quickbooks)
Preparing T4 statements, Record of Employment (ROE) and other statements as required
Preparing and balancing period-end reports and reconciling issues payrolls to bank statements
Preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required
Assist in annual budget, month end and year end reporting
Work with Benefits Representative
Bank reconciliations
Other ad hoc responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Accounting certificate or bachelors degree in commerce or business administration/ finance/ accounting
A minimum of one years of full cycle bookkeeping related experience
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, investigative, and analytical skills
Understanding of sales taxes (GST, PST, HST), payroll taxes
Candidates should be self-starters who are able to multitask effectively and work with little supervision.
Advanced level proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online versions), Microsoft Excel, and Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
