Description

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is seeking a permanent full-time Reporting Analyst within our Regina Head Office. Reporting to the Manager, Cannabis Policy and Analysis, the Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting and reviewing cannabis reports; identifying compliance risks based on reported information; designing and conducting information system tests and procedures to evaluate program operations; ensuring compliance with internal control procedures; providing reporting advice to permittees; developing trend analysis, sales forecasts and reports; reporting to multiple levels of government, and mentoring Cannabis Licensing and Inspections Branch staff.

The Reporting Analyst works from a detailed understanding of provincial and federal cannabis regulatory regimes, various provincial program needs and SLGA technical requirements to develop and implement provincial cannabis reporting processes. The Reporting Analyst works with various provincial ministries (including the Ministries of Finance and Justice), the Canada Revenue Agency, Statistics Canada and Health Canada to provide input on and understand program needs, information requirements, and technical requirements. The position uses this understanding of the requirements of provincial and federal agencies, along with the reporting needs of the government, to develop and maintain effective reporting requirements, systems, and procedures for cannabis retailers, wholesalers, and registered licensed producers.
