Description

The role of the Domestic Violence Enrollment and Intake Worker is to ensure efficient and timely support to the Domestic Violence Unit. This position plays a key role in expediting client service and ensuring the accuracy of client records.  

This role involves receiving and processing of highly sensitive and confidential information. The position is integrated in to the Domestic Violence Unit and provides support to Program Caseworkers while also assisting Family Service Reginas Reception area at times. Assessment of referrals, data entry, maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment are core duties of this role. There is also some direct client interaction.    

The successful applicant will possess superior organizational skills and capacity to function well with people, in a team environment while also having focused skill to work independently. Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.  The nature of this role may expose the applicant to referrals containing information that may be offensive, triggering and/or disturbing.  Applicants should have experience and strategies for managing difficult content based on an understanding of social issues such as gender based and family violence, and substance abuse. Salary Expectations & Benefits:    

$18.32-$21.24 per hour based on 35-hour work week
4-weeks Earned Vacation Per Year
6 Paid Professional Development Days Per Year
15 days Paid Sick Leave Per Year
Matched RRSP Contributions After Probation Period (up to 7%)
