Looking for someone to work for Dietrich Farms Ltd located NW-21-20-27 W3, near Mendham, SK. Our operation includes grain and oilseed farming, forage crops, beef cattle ranching and feedlot. Our working conditions involve working outdoors, handling heavy loads, is physically demanding and overtime required.
The candidate that we would consider would need to have the following skills:
- No formal education required, however the following experience within the previous 2 years will be considered:
Driving a 100hp+ tractors, use of GPS
Operating heavy trucks, airdrills, combines, swathers, manure spreaders, dump wagons
Cattle experience
Arc welding/OxyAcetylene, metal work
Equipment repairs and maintenance
Mechanical Skills an asset.
The following duties will be expected:
-Plant crops, harvest crops, spraying, feeding and tending animals, operate, maintain, service and repair farm machinery and equipment, haul manure and other farm commodities, detect disease and health problems in crops and livestock, perform general farm duties
An acceptable candidate will have the following attributes:
- be organized, flexible, a team player, have good oral communication skills, good judgement and effective interpersonal skills.
- be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- must have a valid drivers licence
- ability to maintain work records and logs
