Description

DSI Underground is a leader in developing, producing, and supplying innovative products and systems for Underground Mining and Tunneling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and meet existing and prospective customers to determine needs and identify new opportunities.
Participate in the setting of business plan objectives and benchmarks.
Ensure training programs are in place to enhance end users skills.
Responsible for conducting pull tests underground, installation audits and provide accurate reports of the test findings.
Create and implement action plans for his/her territory in order to achieve their goals and objectives.
Ensure regular visits to mine sites to meet with end users, mine superintendents, engineering departments, purchasing reps to ensure DSI is meeting the customer current and future needs.
Research and develop lists of potential new customers.
Monitor sales activity by account to understand and address variances.
Assist in preparation of quotes, order entry and work within ERP systems.
Post-secondary education in mining engineering and/or operations, mining technology, or business administration.
5 - 8 years of sales and marketing experience in related industry.
Valid drivers license is required.
Strong presentation skills.
Excellent customer relations skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to work underground at various mine sites across the regional territory. Previous underground experience will be considered an asset.
Able to train end users on installation methods of all DSI ground support products.
