Southeast College has an opening for an EAL (English as an Additional Language) blended learning instructor.

Start Date: August 15, 2022
End Date: June 21, 2023
Number of days: 66 Days    (evening schedules may be available)

Under the supervision of the EAL Coordinator, the duties of the EAL Instructor include but are not limited to; preparing lessons based on learner need, organizing learner assessment, providing language instruction to meet identified outcomes, arranging community outings and speakers and promoting EAL services within the community.

The minimum qualifications required to perform the functions of this position are; a Bachelors degree preferably in a related area, interest in becoming registered with TESL Saskatchewan and willingness to pursue training in the area of EAL instruction, willingness to provide flexible, collaborative instruction based on the principles of adult education.

Preference will be given to instructors who meet the education requirements, however, candidates showing initiative to achieve these requirements may be considered.

The candidate must proactively develop and deliver standard-aligned content for blended delivery learning.

Functional knowledge of on-line tools such as Google Classroom and Zoom for instructional purposes is preferred.  

Satisfactory Police Sector Check is a condition of employment.

The following skills are preferred but not required; knowledge of adult education principles, experience training or tutoring adults, experience in education or human services.
