Description

P. Machibroda Engineering Ltd. is a Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental engineering firm based in Saskatoon, SK. We are currently seeking a Swamper to work as part of our dynamic Field Operations group.
As a Swamper, youll provide site assistance to the Driller and Drill Team to ensure drilling is done to project specifications and in accordance with safety standards.
The following is a list of typical duties and responsibilities for the position:
- Assist in the safe operation of various pieces of drilling equipment, such as drilling rigs and powered mobile equipment;
- Assist Driller with Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental drilling procedures;
- Safely load/unload augers and supplies;
- Clean tailings and shovel soil;
- Assist in the installation of monitoring wells;
- Hammer and remove pins;
- Successfully meet all pre-access requirements for all potential work sites including the successful completion of all required safety training, orientations and drug and alcohol testing;
- Perform other labour duties and elemental tasks as assigned by Driller and/or Field Technologist.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment in all climates is essential. A valid Class 3 Driver's License with an air brake endorsement and a clean Drivers Abstract is required. The position requires travel on a regular basis as such meal and accommodation allowances are provided
Due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position, candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
