The suitable candidates will perform the following duties:
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with families and school teams;
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated;
Responsible for planning, tracking, and reporting to school administrators;
Work collaboratively with schools and families to ensure student success;
Assist the school with EYE (Early Years Evaluation) and follow-up;
Assist students with the key areas of development by supporting social and emotional need/skills;
Connect children/families with school and other service providers (ECIP, KFN, etc);
Create activity packages, establish relationships with families, and monitor home visits;
Maintain accurate records for reports;
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma- Diploma in Social Work or Counseling preferred;
Previous experience working in a field that relates to the needs of children with differing abilities;
EYE training an asset;
Have a good understanding of risk factors;
Must have a valid drivers class 5 license.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
