Description

South Central CFDC is a non-profit, regional economic development organization that provides business and community development services to the south-central region of Saskatchewan and is based out of Moose Jaw.  The Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized individual for the position of Business Development Officer / Loans Analyst.

This role will be directly responsible for the Business Investment Fund and will be required to supply technical support and counselling assistance to potential entrepreneurs and existing small businesses.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Self Employment Program, assisting clients with development of business plans including market research and financial forecasting and analysis.  This role will provide assistance, counseling, and support to clients in all aspects of business management and will help entrepreneurs develop solutions for business challenges or problems.

Applicants must have a strong background in lending (particularly development lending), business planning and financial analysis, and be knowledgeable of small business start-up, marketing and management.  Strong organizational, analytical and research skills, and client counseling skills are required.  Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.  Post-secondary education in business administration, commerce, rural development or a related field is required.  Entrepreneurial business experience would be a definite asset.

We provide a great deal of flexibility and a casual work environment. Some local travel is required, on occasion. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
