The Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan is looking for a neurofeedback technician to work in our psychology department. Neurofeedback is direct training of brainwave function by which the client learns to regulate their brainwaves more effectively; which can help with attention, emotion, and behaviour regulation.
A neurofeedback technician is responsible for running training sessions in an education setting, under supervision of a registered psychologist. Responsibilities include creating a supportive environment, running neurofeedback sessions directly with the clients (ranging in age from children to adults), documenting process, maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, and possible scheduling client sessions and billing . The successful applicant will receive training and supervision for use of the equipment and the process. Applicants that possess a related technical diploma will be considered in the application process. A bachelors degree in a related field would be considered an asset.
