Description

Pharmacy located in Emerald Park is currently accepting resumes for a full-time medical administrative Assistant for pharmacys medical staff. The position will be available effective upon finding a suitable and passionate person desiring to work in this service sector. Working hours are fixed and typically range between 35 to 40 hours/week. Salary is negotiable based on individuals qualifications and prior experience.

Prior medical office administrative training and experience is preferred

Job duties include:
1. Schedule and confirm medical and pharmacist appointments and receive and communicate messages for medical staff and patients
2. Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
3. Interview patients in order to complete forms, documents and case histories
4. Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
5. Establish and maintain various internal office administrative support procedures such as document tracking and filing and monthly reporting
6. Order supplies and maintain inventory
7. Determine and establish office procedures and routines

Experience: Twelve (12) months or more previous experience working in an medical office environment.

Skills required include:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail,
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, a pleasant and kind approach when interacting with patients in person and by telephone
Good understanding of requirements for patient confidentiality and privacy principles.
Computer literacy and cyber safety for PHR is basic skill
Ability to work independently
