Job Description: The Clinical Instructor works under the administrative supervision and reports to the Manager of Professional Practice Occuapational Therapy.  The Clinical Instructor functions as an overall coordinator and resource person for nursing and other clinical employees.  In collaboration with the Director of Professional Practice, Directors, Managers and employees, assists in determining clinical employee learning needs, develops, coordinates and delivers educational programming as appropriate.  Providing education and support to nursing care providers will be the primary focus of this position.  The Clinical Instructor may be required to deliver training in a variety of settings, ranging from a formal classroom environment to point of care on a specific unit.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support for Care Givers (BLS-HCP)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years experience in acute care and/or in employee education is required.  
Previous experience in nursing education required.
Other Information

Note:  This position is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Article 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement, however first preference will be given to employees of Sunrise Health Region.

224.00 hours per 6 week rotation: 28 shifts of 8.00 hours
