The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is seeking a Superintendent/Director to lead the Operations Policy unit of its new Provincial Protective Services Branch. We are open to considering position outside of Regina.
The Superintendent/Director of Operations Policy will be a progressive, forward-thinking professional with advanced knowledge and experience in senior leadership roles, the field of law enforcement, and the principles of effective policy development, implementation and accountability that support the goals of government and align with the ministrys strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner of PPSs Enforcement Support Services Section, this position is responsible for researching, integrating and developing policy, plans and standards that meet the needs of the ministry and the expectations of Saskatchewan residents.
You will be a strong visionary leader with the expertise, experience and enthusiasm to motivate others, implement constructive and contemporary policy, and influence the evolution of PPS.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required for this position is obtained through a: Bachelors degree or diploma in a social science, police science, criminal justice, public administration; or a related field combined with extensive and progressive experience in senior policy, planning and leadership roles. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
