Facility: IDYLWYLD CENTRE
Job Description: The incumbent will provide community and preventive dentistry to children in the Oral Health Program.  This includes diagnostic and operative services.  This position is under the supervision of the Manager of the Oral Health Department.  The senior dental therapist will be responsible for the supervision of dental assistants.  Coverage in the PPH - Dental Clinics will be required as necessary.

The incumbent will work independently of a dentist and within the multidisciplinary team of the Oral Health Department and other programs as assigned.  A consultant/referral dentist is available to provide services as required.
Required Qualifications

Dental Therapy Diploma
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association
Valid driver's licence and access to a personal motor vehicle for transportation related to Region business
Experience
Minimum of three years dental therapy experience.  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize work load demands
Computer skills including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, email and internet
Strong communication skills including ability to provide educational presentations.

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Cri
