The Ministry of Finance is responsible for the integrity of the provincial budget development process, and manages the governments banking, investment and public debt functions. Finance is also the lead ministry for fiscal policy; designing and administering fair, efficient and competitive tax regimes; pension and benefit administration; labour relations advice to government; and ensuring effective financial management and accounting policies and procedures. The Ministry of Finance is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Economist to join the Economic and Fiscal Planning Branch. In this role you will provide significant contributions on all matters involving the Province's economic outlook.

Reporting to the Director, Economic Policy, Economic and Fiscal Planning Branch in the Ministry of Finance. You are passionate about utilizing economic and forecasting data to solve complex public policy problems.
