REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING MECHANIC (HVAC)

The HVAC Technician troubleshoots and maintains the heating and ventilation systems in the mill which include electrical rooms, control rooms, offices, etc.

Responsibilities:

-Perform routine planned, predictive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
-Support the contract HVAC service provider to the mill.
-Support maintenance team with other non-HVAC maintenance work.
-Plan maintenance in conjunction with Supply Chain and Operations personnel.
-Investigate new technologies with vendors.
-Troubleshoot, with other mill personnel, operational and maintenance issues.
-Optimize performance of equipment in collaboration with Operations and Engineering personnel to enhance mill operation.
-Develop and implement reliability integrity strategies for equipment.
-Participate in the dual trade program at Meadow Lake Pulp.
-Provide training to an apprentice Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic as part of the mill dual trade program.

Qualifications:

-Journeyperson:  Saskatchewan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic or equivalent.
-Saskatchewan General Gas Fitting license or eligibility to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

-SAP or other enterprise business software.
-Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work in a team environment.
