POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Women Shifting Gears Program (including expected outcomes) for trainees and employers based on community development theories and in consultation with internal and external stakeholders. This is an in-scope position.
HOURS OF WORK:
Full-time 37.5 hours - Term: September 6th, 2022 to March 31st, 2023
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follow accepted program development practice, facilitate the development of outcomes, outcome measures and program interventions to achieve those outcomes.
2. Instruct program components that are culturally diverse and result in increased competencies and improved work readiness in trucking industry occupations.
3. Collaborate with external stakeholders, employers and the Saskatchewan Trucking Association to create partnerships and implement strategies to positively impact work environments to be welcoming and respectful to a highly skilled and diverse workforce.
4. Maintain accurate records and reports, and monitor budgets and financial statements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary education with related current experience delivering groups and individual employment interventions with an adult education focus an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered;
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a workforce development setting;
Knowledgeable of Saskatchewans trucking industry and occupations;
An understanding of, and commitment to, the philosophies of YWCA Saskatoon.
