Description

Eagle Heart Centre is seeking an individual with a natural gift for working with children. The ECE will assist in applying a Head Start curriculum in a safe nurturing, stimulating and culturally relevant environment. This will involve lifting and carrying children and equipment, spend time sitting on the floor or child sized furniture, clean and maintain equipment and facility, serve meals and carry out periodic bus driver duties. The ECE may come in contact with children who are ill and/or contagious, and must take precautions to ensure the health and safety of all children, parents, staff and themselves. The ECE must ensure that the children are supervised at all times, and that children are involved in safe and appropriate activities.  There may be a number of situations happening at once, and the ECE must be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time. Maintaining written and statistical reports is a necessary part of the job.

Qualifications: Must have a Grade 12
Level Three Early Childhood Education Diploma
Previous experience/training working with children
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office:
-Word
-Excel
-Power Point
-Outlook
Fluent in an Aboriginal language would be an asset
Driving Abstract Check, Insurable vehicle
Driver Validity license check
Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate would be an asset
