Description

The Ministry of Trade and Export Development (TED) advances economic growth to generate wealth and opportunity in Saskatchewan. The Ministry facilitates a coordinated cross-government approach to attract investment and grow export markets. The Ministry fosters and supports a competitive business environment, facilitates trade and strengthens Saskatchewan's international relations.

TED is seeking a values-based leader to contribute directly to the success of Saskatchewans international network in collaboration with Saskatchewan partners and stakeholders. The International Engagement Manager will be a key resource in Saskatchewan for the international trade and investment offices in China, India, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Vietnam. The Manager and their team will serve as a key connection point in advancing the networks trade and investment outcomes.

This position requires you to model a collaborative, one team approach, as well as the ability to engage your network to solve complex challenges. To be successful in the role, the candidate will need to navigate new challenges and embrace a fast-paced environment, working directly with a team of diverse and skillful international and Saskatchewan-based professionals. This position will be responsible for managing staff to deliver on key outcomes.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required to be successful in this position would be attained through the completion of a graduate level degree and relevant experience in international business development, stakeholder engagement and policy analysis. The ideal candidate should also have knowledge of Saskatchewan and its commercial environment.
