Description

In this exciting role, the successful candidate will be responsible for proposals, project coordination and scheduling, and technical report preparation for environmental projects in Saskatchewan. Some field work may be required. At PMEL our goal is to serve our clients by ensuring practical and timely Geoenvironmental engineering solutions and technical services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to client inquiries on new project proposals.
Co-ordinate project technical services including: field drilling, laboratory analysis and field work.
Complete data processing and analysis corresponding to field information collected.
Perform technical writing and report preparation, including recommendations.
Submit reports and communicates with regulatory bodies.
Maintain positive relationships with existing clients.
Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
Registered (or eligible for registration) with APEGS. A P. Eng. Designation is an asset.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Geoenvironmental field related to one or more of the following areas: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; Corrective Actions Plans; site remediations; hydrogeological investigations; or related environmental monitoring. Preference will be given for local, Saskatchewan based experience.
Knowledge and experience in Federal and Provincial legislation for contaminated/impacted sites.
Organizational skills and the ability to oversee several projects at the same time.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
In addition to the required technical skills, the successful candidate must also demonstrate flexibility, initiative, a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
