Mumms Sprouting Seeds is an independently owned organic seed supplier, serving the sprout and microgreen sector. If you are looking for a new challenge and to work with a great group of people, send us your resume.
We are looking for a full time Shipping & Receiving Associate. Key duties include:
- Organization of warehouse, including product mapping, inventory tracking & area labeling.
- Product receiving, including visual inspection of product and delivery vehicle, collecting samples for pathogen testing and identifying/labeling incoming bags.
- Blend seed to create seed mixes.
- Packing and shipping truck orders through communication with Sales Co-ordinator.
- Ensuring that correct product is shipped with adequate physical protection.
- Manufacture bulk quantities of seed from tote bags.
- Manufacture 5kg & 10kg bags as required.
- Warehouse equipment and machinery maintenance.
- Develop and ensure compliance with OHS standards
- Sanitation of warehouse
Skills and Qualifications:
- Able to lift 25Kg (55Ibs)
- Organization
- Able to foster teamwork.
- Able to work efficiently and quickly.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Sense of humor and positive attitude.
- Valid drivers license
- First Aid/CPR considered an asset.
- Forklift certification considered an asset.
