The Associate Vice-President, Information Technology Services (AVP, ITS) is accountable to the vice-president, administrative services for the development and alignment of information technology strategies, policies, initiatives, and services in support of Saskatchewan Polytechnic's mandate, mission and goals. The AVP, ITS is accountable for the future focused provision and direction of a full range of diverse and complex information technology functions, including technology architectures, infrastructure, applications, data/information management teaching, learning and administrative support services to enable Saskatchewan Polytechnic to utilize those resources and associated technologies to achieve its goals and objectives.  
Based at one of Saskatchewan Polytechnics four campuses, the AVP, ITS reports to the vice-president, administrative services.   The AVP, ITS is required to travel to all Saskatchewan Polytechnic campuses for meetings and administrative responsibilities, as well as occasional travel provincially and nationally to represent Saskatchewan Polytechnic at meetings, committees, or boards. International travel may also be required.
The AVP, ITS supervises four direct reports including the director, IT operations, director, IT strategic architecture & security, director, IT client relations, and an executive assistant.  On a daily basis, the AVP, ITS interacts with other AVPs, deans, directors and vice-presidents across the organization.  The Information Technology Services division includes approximately 100 FTE staff providing a complete array of information technology services and support.
Key to success in this role will be a positive, collaborative and future focused leader that has the ability to create a short- and long-term vision with a focus on learning and teaching, IT governance and security in the ever-changing world of technology and digitization.
